Dr. Orellana was born and raised in Caracas-Venezuela where she first obtained her BS in Economics. In 2002 she moved to her family's hometown in Barcelona-Spain to attend veterinary school. After graduation in 2008, she started working in the emergency field before completing a one-year Small Animal Rotating Internship in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
While obtaining her license to practice veterinary medicine in the US, she went back to her previous emergency position for a few more months and worked as a veterinary technician at the Denver Dumb Friends League shelter. By December 2014 she completed the ECFVG program and obtained her DVM degree. Her first job as a Doctor in the US was at Denver Pet Urgent Care were she gained valuable surgical experience before joining the team at CVS and Animal ER to continue working as an emergency clinician which is what she has always enjoyed the most. When she is not working, studying or volunteering at the Denver Animal Shelter performing routine spay and neuters, she spends all her free time with her family. Dr. Orellana loves taking her 2 dogs Bella and Maximus on fun walks, spoiling her two cats Muskis and Minunis and taking care of foster kittens while they recover from orthopedic problems to be adopted at the shelter. She also tries to ride her bike regularly and to escape once or twice a year to go spend time next to the ocean that she loves.
