Kristin Freund, DVM
American College of Veterinary Surgeons – Residency Trained
Dr. Freund was born in Fort Collins, Colorado but spent much of her youth moving around the country with her family. She returned to Colorado in 2006 to attend Colorado State University where she earned her B.S. in Biomedical Sciences followed by her DVM (go Rams!). After graduating from veterinary school, Dr. Freund moved to Ithaca, New York to attend Cornell University for a yearlong small animal internship. Following her interest in surgery, she then underwent an additional year of training as a surgical intern at Aspen Meadow Veterinary Specialists in Boulder. Dr. Freund has since completed a three-year residency in small animal surgery at the University of Georgia and is very excited to be back in the front range.
Dr. Freund’s goal is to provide personalized and dedicated care for your pet’s orthopedic, neurologic, and soft tissue surgical needs. Her surgical interests include orthopedics and oncologic surgery. In her free time, Dr. Freund loves hiking with her long-haired mini dachshund Cannoli, snowboarding, traveling, yoga, and enjoying Colorado’s craft brewery and culinary scenes.
